Bay Leaf
Usage: Bay leaves are great for slow-cooker recipes — they are packed with flavor and do not lose their integrity with heat. Add to soups and stews, crock pot recipes and tomato-based sauces.
Storage: Fresh bay leaves will last in a sealed container in the refrigerator for 1-2 weeks, however they will last up to two years dried without losing their flavor or aroma! To dry bay leaves, place them on a sheet pan and spread the leaves so they are not touching. Store the sheet pan in a warm, dry room. Flip the leaves over after one week, and let the other side dry for one more week.
